PAINTBALLING Amsterdam

You arrive at the venue, and the instructors give you a briefing on the rules and safety. Everyone gets a protective mask and overalls, a semi-automatic gun and 150 paintballs, while the stag gets the bunny suit, which makes him the main target. The group splits into teams and plays 4-5 missions across themed areas, with a new scenario and objective each time. If you run out of ammo, you can buy extra paintballs on-site. Over 3 hours, expect fast-paced action, plenty of teamwork, a few bruises and a lot of laughs.

Wear old clothes and closed, sturdy shoes that you don't mind getting dirty, and bring a change of clothes for afterwards. Long sleeves and trousers under the overalls help soften the hits. Please arrive sober, as alcohol and safety don't mix, and keep the celebration for after the game.

Paintball works best as a daytime highlight, so follow it with something relaxed. Good fits are a barbecue in the park, a brewery tour or a whisky tasting. For the evening, add a steak and strip dinner, then a private pub crawl, the shared bar crawl in Leidseplein or the shared night out in the Red Light District.
